The sweeping forms of Nichōme are hand block-printed onto an exceptionally light linen sheer. Each wooden block is traced and carved by hand, soaked in mustard oil for a week, dried in the sun, and printed individually along the cloth. The name refers to Shinjuku Nichōme, Tokyo’s historic queer district.
